greenwich or the most amazing borough in London

From where I live it's quite a hassle to go Greenwich, because it's on the opposite side of London.
Anyway, it's always worth to go and you feel as soon as you emerge of the DLR Station in a other city...everything looks like a little fisher town in France and so is the flair in the streets!
What I really like to see in Greenwich is the royal observatory in Greenwich Park, both incredible beautiful <3
Also, believe me you won't regret climbing up the pretty steep hill, because on the top you will have the most beautiful view about London ever.

if you more like a museum person then everybody (including me) would recommend to visit the National Meritime Museum. At the moment there is a exhibition about Turner and Sea...

Ah, before I forget it, it's super super windy!!! here, so you better not make your hair into a difficult hairstyle :D

when my best friend Kati came to visit me

wow, it's already 2 weeks ago since Kati visited me in London. Time is flying and spring is beginning! Finally :)
my lovely Kati arrived on friday and stayed till Monday.
Luckily the weather was amazing and we had a lot of fun in Hyde Park and Notting Hill.

Brighton or when we spent a whole day on the beach with fish n' chips

On the last weekend Sophie and I decided to see something else than London and went to Brighton a city on the seaside in the South of England.
The weather had changed on the last week in more springlike weather, which we wanted to use to go finally in the (for me) most beautiful city.
So we spent literally almost the whole day on the beach, lying around in the sun, talking and eating fis n' chips. AMAZING!
The city is small in comparison with London (okay, almost EVERY city is small when it comes to London...it's just tremendous), but directly on the seaside and really arty like Cambridge. There are a lot of small streets with secondhand, decoration and art shops and a wonderful park at the Royal Pavilion called Victoria Park (check it out, when you're in Brighton).
Despite the little streets with the I-am-in-South France-flair there is the Brighton Pier, which is quite famous due to the Funfair and the pretty view.

cambridge or when we tried not to fly away like Mary Poppins

I was already in Cambridge two years ago and absolutely amazed by this city / architecture / ego-green lifestyle / river Cam...
So I convinced Sophie to come with me again to this beautiful city, even when the weather was really british (rain, wind).
All and all we had a freezing but awesome day :)

If you haven't been yet in this city:

Cambridge is 80km more northern than London and much smaller, but a very cute arty city. Especially in the summer it is very nice to relax near the river Cam and in one of the parks. Or you can wander around the small streets or over the market, where a lot of little stalls full of self-made products and secondhand things are offered. When you have enough from 'shopping' have a look at these tremendous and very beautiful buildings like the 'Kings College Chapel' , 'Trinity College' or some churches. Unfortunately the admission is not for free like usually in London, but it's abosultely worth to spend a bit of money to see the beauty from the inside...
