wow, christmas is already over and it couldn't have been nicer.
All of my family came together and I saw finally my siste after one and a half month again.
On christmas day my dad usually set up the tree in our living room and put on all the lights. After everything is lighted and smells good after the tree and tea my mom and I decorate the tree with our red and shiny christmas baubles together.
Generally I'm a last minute present wrapper so this is the time I finally think about which paper I want to use for each present.
Next year I should definitely not postpone that and start earlier. Maybe I could then print my very own christmas paper? Oh well...we will see how it goes.
In my family it's all about enjoying themselves, having a good time together and share love.
Especially after my sister and I moved out this october to study in different cities. Of course it's kind of a tradition to come home on the weekends, but it'll tend to be different since our exames and presentations are soon coming up and we have to study.
So in the evening we have some yummy dinner together, this year we have (okay had, since it's over and already new years eve) potato "Auflauf", it's a german pie made of potatoes, brocoly, leek and onions and cheese. Yumm!
And after it's present time and we all have a look what we get :)
How is christmas for you? what are you doing/what did you do?
XXX, enjoy new years eve wherever you are, Isa

Santa Claus
Hi everybody,
christmas is on the move and everyone is already decorating their homes very beautifully.
So did we. My flatmates and I went to the shops last weekend and bought some christmasy themed stuff to make our flat pretty.
Yesterday was the opening of the famous "christkindl" market in Weingarten, which was rather nice. We met up after our lectures to stroll around the market.
It was super fun and the streets were very pretty decorated with lights, twigs and christmas baubles.
We wandered around and got christmas presents, drank mulled wine and ate "Apfelstudel".
When we got home it was quite late, but I needed to do some crafts I'm making for my flatmates.
In germany it's a tradition to celebrate 6th December. Therefore I made these little cuties for my 16 flatemates:
have a wonderful friday afternoon and a beautiful weekend (if you wonder how I did these santa clauses, there are basically painted (milk)tetra paks. If requested I can also do a DIY --> already thought about that anyway)
Bye and lots of love, Isa

5 nice ways to make pretty garlands #tassel garlands
Hey everybody,
so this is part number 2 out of my little serie "5 nice ways to make pretty garlands".
Today I'm going to show you the tassel garland, which is pretty easy as well, yet it needs more time to accomplish.
you can basically use every bench of colours you prefer; I was in the mood to create a litlle rainbow for my door I can look up every morning to (which hopefully takes my crumpy morning mood away).
Your equipment consists basically only tissue paper, which is very thin so perfectly for waving softly in a breeze.
I made it with normal paper, though.
1. draw a line on the paper (it's the mark for the length of the stripes) and cut small stripes until this line. Repeat that step with all your papers
2. Roll every single paper into itself and wrap the threat around it.
Have a nice day and fun while crafting, I'm going to enjoy my tea now :)

- (tissue)paper
- threat
- yarn
- scissors
1. draw a line on the paper (it's the mark for the length of the stripes) and cut small stripes until this line. Repeat that step with all your papers
2. Roll every single paper into itself and wrap the threat around it.
3. The last step is to stitch the yarn through the tassels and slide them on the yarn (you can make it as long as you want). Now your tassel garland is ready to be hung up on a pretty wall or anywhere you want in your room.
Have a nice day and fun while crafting, I'm going to enjoy my tea now :)

5 nice ways to make pretty garlands #garland made of apple stamps
today I'm going to show you how to make a pretty apple-stamps-garland. I personally love garlands, because they make everything prettier and cute.
Apparently for the current autumn winter weather (at least in germany it's pretty cold and wintery now) an garland made of apple stamps would suit that weather at its best.
It's super easy to create and you don't need much equipment:
- brush
- apple
- thick paper
- needle
- acrylic paint
1. cut the apple in half and spread the paint all over its surface
Repeat that step as often as you want, I made 8 prints.
3. after the paint dried make a hole with a darning needle (actually you can use pretty much every needle, but to put through a yarn after, it will be easier to use a darning needle since its diameter).
4. the last step will be to threat the apple stamps and to hang it on your favourite place.
Have fun making that pretty garland and if you want you can always send me your result, I'd love that <3

#recipe and talk about pinterest
Hi my dear
readers,
first of
all I want to say sorry for my absence. It was incredible busy these first
weeks in university, organising everything and so on. Additionally I became
ill, the whole flue thing, which didn't help at all.
But here I
am, fresh and recovered.
Today I
was going to have only one lecture ("sing with kids"), but it was
canceled due illness.
So I'm
enjoying my freetime and do crafts and actually wanna ask you if you are as
hooked on as I am when it comes to Pinterest?
I just
love, love this page so much that I could spend hours and hours searching for
stuff, since I’ve heard the first time of it.
Basically
you can find everything you would want and beyond, such as food recipies or
style support…there are no boundaries.
What I
love most ist that You can get a lot of inspiration and support for your own
stuff. It works like you can follow people you like, for example crafting
girls, whom you like there DIYs of or style blogger or...
So for me
it works as a tremendous inspirational source when it comes to crafting and
other pretty things, which make life beautiful.
A few days
ago I was searching for a nice recipe for a cake and what I found was a drawn
one. I was so amazed by that idea to not just write down a recipe of a certain
cake or dinner, but draw it. What a lovely idea, I thought.
And at the
next day I tacked my sketch book under my arm and grabed a pencil and found
myself drawing in my bed with a cup of tea and nice music.
I'm pretty
pleased with the result. What do you think?
What are you enjoying doing in your freetime?
Have a wonderful november day, love Isa
